The girls are the back bone of our society and country as well, They always contribute an important part for development, uplifiment and survival of our society. “Shri Umiya Girls Secondary School and Shri Umiya Girls College” established by Patidar Community for the same purpose to upgrade the Girls to the extent with knowledge and responsibility.
In Shri Umiya Girls College at present both Post Graduate & under Graduates courses such as M.Sc. Biotechnology, M.H.Sc. Textile, B.Sc. Computer Science, B.Sc. Biotechnology, B.Sc. Microbiology, B.Sc. Bioinformatics, B.Sc. Biology, B.Sc. Mathematics, B.Sc. Home Science, B.Com Plain, B.Com. With Computer Application, B.A. Plain, B.A. with Computer Application is running.
Every year the Girls scores highest marks and position in the DAVV mint. The Institution also organizes seminars and workshops on different fields. Apart from this several programs related to the society and culture is organized for overall progress of the students.
Environment Related Programs:-
In the College, a unique tradition called "Sankalp Vriksha" in celebrated, in which both the students and staff do plantation own their birthday. The college hopes that such a small effort may contribute to protect our earth from barren.
Preparation for Competitive Exam:-
Guest faculties of different subjects are invited by the college for enhancement of career of the students. General studies classes are also organized by the Institution.
Seminar and Workshops:-
Several seminars and workshops have been organized by the college in which renowned persons from various fields are invited with in the college campus. Neighboring colleges are also invited for their participation with in the same.
Activities Related to Goal:-
The Institution efforts a lot for the development of the student overall. Thus various musical & entertainment programs are also organized. Activities related to sports and personality development is also organized with in the College campus.
The students of Biotechnology, Microbiology and Bioinformatics have gone to different places such as Amravati, Nagpur, Dhar etc for completion of their major projects in their fifth semester-various other major and minor projects in all subjects which are particularly based on Research & Future Job are also running within the college.
The college has a huge campus and sufficient grounds for both indoor and outdoor games. Apart from these the classes for Yoga and meditations are also organized for improving both mental and physical state of the student.
The faculty gives the biggest effort for developing versatility among the students with best accommodation, sanitation and fooding facility the students are also allowed to watch television on each Sunday. There are frequent delivery of newspaper in both college and hostel for updating the student with the world.
